I’m Hung up on you: Part 2, Great Sausage or Can I Call You Dick?

Highlights

Pros:

  •    They show sex work as REAL work
  •  Ray has his first client
  • Less focus on Ray’s big dick

Cons:

  • Ray doesn’t get paid upfront
  • Ray falls asleep at his client’s house
  • Cheesy work name

Other thoughts:

  • Ray should invest in some cover up

In the second episode, Ray shows up to work with a hickey the size of a child’s fist on his neck.  He does a poor job of covering it up.  Sure, he doesn’t have the gift of foresight – he arrives at work straight from his first client’s house.  Hooray!  Ray gets his first client in his episode through the help of Tanya.  Tanya is friends with a professional shopper, Lenore.  Lenore’s clients are rich, older women who could potentially be clients for Ray.  Lenore agrees to recommend Ray to her clients if she can “test drive” him first.  This is where Ray makes his first mistake.  He arrives at Lenore’s house, and he doesn’t get the money upfront.  We never see Lenore pay him.  If Ray did any research before starting this business, he would have known to always, always get paid upfront or you may never see a cent of what you are owed.  The episode ends before he gets paid, so hopefully we find out whether or not he gets paid in the next episode.  However, I’m glad to see that the producers of the show convey that escorting is hard work.  His second mistake was falling asleep at the clients’ house.  His third mistake?  Using Richard, a.k.a. “Dick”, as his work name.  How vastly uncreative.

Anyway, I’m just glad they didn’t portray him as a suave Casanova.
